Jo Dressler is an artist based in Brighton with a strong interest in all areas of the arts, exploring ideas about identity, cultural identity, femininity and pattern, through the use of photography, paint, embroidery and illustration.

She is inspired by and interested in people, and believes that reading faces is one of the most important forms of communication and ways of navigating the world, hence portraiture being a prominent aspect and well studied genre throughout her work.

Seeing the world through a very open mind; sensitive to light, colour and sound, makes the artwork, in whichever medium it comes, every bit as rich and vibrant as the musical spells and edible potions that make her tick.
